Brother Jim Goetz writes:

My job is steady and reasonable, and I thank God for
that. We live in three bedroom two full bath
townhouse. Julie, Christi, Jeremy and Josh are getting
great grades.

We go to Family Worship Center in Clay.
And Gospel Tabernacle pastors have a relationship with
Family Worship Center pastors.

In fact, this is the
home church for Rosemary Nelson and Barbara Marang who
are missionaries to Honduras that visit Gospel
Tabernacle now and then.

And in November, my oldest
daughter Julie will join a church team to do a
short-term missions trip to Honduras.

Gospel Tabernacle Bible Quizzers Get Certificates

Gospel Tabernacle Bible Quizzers speak Sunday Here are the names of the quizzers from left to right: Hannah Bachman, Sarah Wright, Nick Ayers, Peter Wright, Alison Wright, Colin Ingalls, Philip Bachman, Indiana Timothy.

We are involved in the Bible quiz program offered through Family Life Network.

Each year a passage of Scripture is assigned for the six month period. This year we worked on Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Timothy, and Philemon.

Next year we will be memorizing the book of Luke. Each team member is assigned their own passage to memorize. We meet once a week to practice. Once a month the quiz teams in the region meet for competition.

Our league meets in Obi, NY. This year there were 6 teams competing. Our teams finished 3rd and 4th. We also had the 2nd and 3rd place individuals in the league.

Each quiz is made up of two, six-minute halves. A quizzer quizzes out by answering 5 questions correctly or errors out with 3 incorrect answers. Each answer must be word perfect.

The quizzers sit on electronic seat pads and will jump to gain the right to answer the question. If a quizzer jumps before the question is complete, they must complete the question and then supply the answer word perfectly.

Mark and Melanie Bachman, from Ulysses, PA are the Quiz Team Leaders and they say
"We love the interest and the kids can use all the support possible. We have truly seen lives and hearts changed by the power of the word of God." Like our director says repeatedly," the word of God, does the work of God in our hearts."

These young people all addressed the entire congregation Sunday and described their involvement in Bible Quizzing. They were wonderful public speakers, each and every one of them.
